About Coach

I feel very fortunate that my childhood included TONS of sports and activities. I was a competitive gymnast for 8 years, surfed regularly with my dad and brothers, became a certified scuba diver at age 9, and I've skied almost every year since kindergarten. Movement, training, and competition have always been a part of my life (and identity), so CrossFit was a natural fit for me when I started at Stratum Fitness in 2012. Like many others who gravitate towards CrossFit/Functional Fitness, I was motivated by the community, improving my athletic performance, and learning as much as I could about the sport. This led me to participate in many CrossFit Opens, Team Series Events, and local CrossFit and Olympic Lifting competitions throughout the years. I've also attended two OPEX Athlete Camps to learn more about programming and training. I feel that my own athletic and fitness journey over the last 10-15 years (and the ups and downs that come with it) has been some of the best "training" I could have ever received, and I aim to incorporate the lessons I've learned as an athlete into my coaching approach.

Turning Point

My turning point as an athlete and a coach was experiencing firsthand how both the day-to-day training and the Statrum community have supported me both inside and outside of the gym. I am so lucky to have been a part of this community for 10 years now, and as all do, I've experienced ups and downs throughout this last decade. Through my personal highs and lows, Stratum has been a constant for me. This gym provides me with a sense of belonging, helps me grow personally and professionally, and supports me when times are tough. I am so honored to be a small part of such a meaningful and powerful group of people!

Motivation & Passion

I am passionate about helping people - both inside and outside the gym. I love it when I can help our members improve their lifting technique, learn a new skill, or hit a big milestone. Most importantly, I strive to make their time in the gym the best part of their day - where they can connect with others, let off some steam, and have fun!
